DEVOTION ~ CLEAR THE LOG
Theme: Clear the Log Text: Matthew 7:3-5 3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First, get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. Yesterday's devotion taught us that we shall be judged by the same standard we apply to others. The text for today calls us to be attentive to things happening around us as we try to pinpoint the faults of others. It is easy for us to rebuke people, but we cannot correct ourselves. Dear beloved in the Lord, what you call a big sin is just a speck, but your hidden sin is a log that needs to be cleared.
