DEVOTION ~ JOY IN HEAVEN
Theme: Joy in Heaven Text: Luke 15:7 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. As we learned in previous devotions, a lost sheep will be looked for leaving behind the remaining ninety-nine. If the sheep is found, there is joy. The text for today speaks about the joy in heaven over the salvation of human souls. If a sinner comes to penitence there is more joy in heaven than ninety-nine who are righteous (who do not need to repent). God's desire is that the lost would be found and those in darkness see the light of His glory but not for them to perish. We must also pray and reach out to these individuals so that they can repent and be saved. As we go about our duties we should bear in mind, that the Lord is enthroned above watching whatever is happening here on earth.
