DEVOTION ~ IMMANUEL
Theme: Immanuel Text: Matthew 1:22&23 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” We could relate well to how it feels like when mum or dad is travelling without us growing up as children. The absence of parents at home often makes most children sick but they become well immediately at the sight of their parents. God knows this so much He wants to always be with us. Immanuel means God is with us. The prophecy of the prophet Isaiah came to pass through the Blessed Virgin Mary when she conceived our Immanuel by the power of the Holy Spirit. When you feel all left out or alone, just remember to declare it aloud "Immanuel!" PRAYER: Dear God, thank You that I am never alone.
