Theme: The Floods of Ungodliness Text: Psalm 18:4-6 4 The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. 6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears. An unrighteous life only sparks flames of fear and regrets. Sin does not allow the soul to find rest rather, it causes restlessness in the doer. The Holy Scripture made it known, the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23). The psalmist said, the pangs of death surrounded him and the flood of ungodliness made him afraid. When one commits sin, it brings about torment in the life of the individual the most sorrowful of all the consequences for sinning is death.
