Theme: Correcting in Love Text: Proverbs 17:9&10 9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends. 10 Rebuke is more effective for a wise man than a hundred blows on a fool. When a matter arises, usually everyone wants to speak to it. The manner in which this is done is very important to settling the issue at stake. If you're a person who always recall such unpleasant issue in every little conversation, that's unchristian of you. Your actions will separate friendships and inflict pain on both parties involved. However, he who covers transgressions seeks love. Covering transgression in this context is not in anyway aiding wrong doing but, ensuring that you do not excalate the issue to an unresolvable level. Giving good counsel and teaching both parties to resolve issues in the Lord directs the tone in love.
