  Theme: Guard Your Heart and Mind Text: Mark 7:20-23 20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Yesterday's devotion taught us that what we eat does not defile us. In today's text, we shall look at things that come from within us that defile us. All our decisions and actions are planned within our hearts and minds. Therefore, we must guard our hearts and minds from pondering over evil deeds. If we feed our hearts and minds with ungodly things, we will soon be pushed to satisfy the desire. The habits of adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness and the like were brooded over time.
