AD )"> Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. In the dispensation of the Apostle Paul, persecution of the believers was very rampant. He encouraged his fellow believers in the Lord not to curse their persecutors. His admonishing is based on the perfect example of our Lord Jesus Christ and the wonderful experience he had of Stephen when he was being stoned to death (Luke 23:34; John 20:22-23; Acts 7:59-60). He understood from there that, the foundation of the Christiandom is built on love and forgiveness.
