DEVOTION ~ WAILING
Theme: Wailing Text: Amos 5:16&17 16 Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this: “There shall be wailing in all streets, and they shall say in all the highways, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They shall call the farmer to mourning, and skillful lamenters to wailing. 17 In all vineyards there shall be wailing, for I will pass through you,” says the Lord. The wrath of God does not bring joy but sorrow to anyone who incurs it. It comes upon the disobedient; those who fail to heed to God's divine instruction. God's word to the disobedient is, their pain cannot be hidden, it will be openly seen. They will wail so will those associated to them. They will wail over the lost of their loved ones, job, business, finances, projects, glory, honour, amongst other significant things. As the Egyptians wept uncontrollably over the death of the first born, that's how awful it will be to those who hardened their hearts to the voice of God.
