Theme: Eating of the Tree of Life
Text: Revelations 2:1-7

Memory verse: Revelations 2:7
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God"

The first church mentioned is the church of Ephesus. The church of Ephesus just like many of us, is zealous for the work of God. Ever ready to go the length and breadth of life for the gospel to be preached in its rightful perspective. Easily identifies false teachers, apostles, or prophets and bring them to light. Do you see yourself in this category of believers? What makes you think that you are having an Ephesus characteristics?

Having all this is good and great but, be mindful not to forget your first love. Once you're focused on others  perfection to the gospel, you're likely to be swayed from the fellowship with the Triune God to the physical gratification. Your first love is God. He has called you forth to be His bride. Yes, the house must be put to order, however there's the need to have a communion (fellowship) with the Bridegroom. If not, your love will grow cold. Remember where you've fallen short of and rekindle the fire. Your quiet time is drifting downwards rapidly, your solitude prayers are gradually fading out, your Evangelism time is full of excuses, amongst others.

Do not forget you're a Lamp-stand in His presence. If you are removed from His presence, what hope do you still have? Take note, once your Lamp-stand is taken off you'll be of no use, as the torch (Light) in you, will be put out. Evaluate yourself and get back on track. There's an awesome reward awaiting you. Christ said, He will grant you access to eat the tree of life which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

Beloved, the Ephesus church was praise for hating the Nicholatians, do you also hate the evil menace of society? Are you ready to fight and stand by the truth and purity? If you're, the Lord is proud of you.

Prayer: My Messiah Jesus, strengthen my heart to stay true to Your calling. Renew my love for You each day that I may serve You in all purity. AMEN!
