Theme: Power Over  Nations
Text: Revelations 2 :18-29

Memory verse ~ Revelations 2:26 - 27
26. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations-
27. ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’

Today's discussion is based on the church of Thyatira. With this church, the Lord Jesus introduced Himself as: He who has the eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass. The fire refines and proves if the church is worthy of its outward characteristics by showing forth the feet of the fine brass  as the eye is the light of the body( Zechariah 13 :7,  1 Peter 1:7, Matthew 6:22)

Take note, the physical deeds of the church was evident for all to see. The church is noted for its work, love, service, faith, patience and how every new work exceeded the former. It was only when the church passed through the refiner's fire that its secret sins were made know. The church's association with Jezebel was laid bare. What kind of programs do you encourage to be run in the church? Do you stand against or for programs that compromise your faith in the church? Does the church allow worldly programs to be held in its building in the name of making money? What role have you played to prevent such evil in the house of the Lord? Today's  text is a wake up call to us all to stand up for the right things to be done in our various churches. There's grace each day but remember destruction will overtake you if you fail to repent of your evil deeds (Proverbs 29:1).

Just as in the Thyatira church, there are still good people within the church who do not practice evil. Ask God to lead you to such people so you always get good company. For bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). Keep in mind the reward for keeping faith is the power to rule over the nations. You will have power and authority over evil doers. Hold on,and do not give up.

Prayer: My Lord, I ask that you keep me on track. Strengthen me through every burden and make me an overcomer that I may rule with you someday. AMEN!
