Theme: The Battle is the Lord's
Text: 2 Chronicles 20:15-17
15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. 17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”
Dear beloved in the Lord, our battles in this age is not physical that we should use guns, chariots, and other elements of the flesh. It is very spiritual. It is for this reason, the Apostle Paul exhorted the church in Ephesus, their battle is not carnal but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in high places which requires they ought to put on the whole Armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-20). Putting on the whole amour of God gives us the peace to hold back and watch the deliverance of the Lord.
Fear is an enemy a believer must not entertain in the line of battle. Fear weakens faith and invites doubts. For this reason, God caution's us not to be afraid nor dismayed (vs 15). If we surrender our battles to the Lord, then there's the need to know God's word concerning the battle. This is what our patriarch of old knew in each battle of their lives and they were victorious (Abraham, Jacob/Israel, David, etc) .
When we go down to battle with the knowledge of the Word of God, we speak it forth and it is established (Job 22:27-29). Remember the men of old overcame the beast by the blood of the Lamb the testimonies of their mouth (Revelations 12:11). As the Blood of Jesus speaks on your behalf, testify of your victory in Him and you will not need to fight in your battles but to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Prayer: I surrender my battles in life to You my God. Prevail in Your might and shake off all satanic holds in my life. I confess my deliverance in Jesus name. AMEN!
Thanks mum...God bless you
