Theme: The Inspired Word
Text: 2 Peter 1:20-21
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
All glory to Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells in us. The Holy Spirit is a teacher and a guide in life. If you rely on Him you'll experience the supernatural.
Your relationship with God becomes better when you understand His Word and purposes for your life. If you study the Bible or do your devotion without an understanding, you're more likely not to move in accordance with the Word. It is for this reason you need to invite the Holy Spirit to grant you the understanding. Philip was led by the Holy Spirit to the Ethiopian Eunuch to give him better understanding of what he was reading about Jesus Christ (Acts 8:26-40).
The Apostle Peter admonished us to rely on the Holy Spirit for a clear understanding of the Word and prophecies of God. You need Him to illumine your soul, heart and mind to the spiritual nature of God and His hidden secrets. Take time and have a conversation with Him and ask for His presence to understand what you're reading and studying about God.
Prayer: Dear God, I pray You give me divine understanding of Your Word and the grace of walking faithfully with You in Jesus name. AMEN!
