Theme: Purpose Driven
Text: Luke 4:42-44

42 Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them; 43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” 44 And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.

Our High Priest on His earthly journey never swayed from His purpose of coming down. He does it well and expresses it to many who draw close to Him. As you are required to imitate Him, it is important to note, you ought to be purpose driven in life. Identifying your core mandate as a Christian is key to doing the Father's will.

The command is to make disciples of all nations. How often do you share the Gospel with someone? If you have not been good at spreading the message you need to work on that.

There are number of things that distract you in life that hinders you from spreading the Gospel. The people tried to prevent Jesus from leaving but He understood well what He is about. What keeps holding you back from sharing Word of God with others? Ask God to empower you to do away with them and serve Him well.

Prayer: My Father in heaven, touch me and empower me to proclaim Your glory to the world in Jesus name. AMEN!
