DEVOTION ~ BE THANKFUL

Text: Psalm 75:1

We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.



We've been created to give thanks to God. Giving thanks to God is important in every believer's life. Make room to also be thankful for all that He has done for you. 

The psalmist called upon the believer's of his day, to give thanks to God. Thanksgiving open divine doors in our life. Irrespective of the circumstances surrounding us, we need to give thanks to God. The saving Hands of God is very near to you, if you call on Him, He will come to your aid and deliver you. Never fail to give thanks to God, for His desire is to see you prosper in all things you do.

Whenever you are challenged to give up on thanking God, just recall His wondrous works in your life. The more you ponder over His works in your life, it sparks up the flame to give thanks to the Lord. As a child of God, let the Words of 1 Thessalonians 5:18 be your strength: 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 



Prayer: I don't know what to say to express Your amazing grace in my life. Thank You God for everything. Touch my lips so I can sing of your praise at all times. Help me to share my testimonies in You to all so I can encourage others to trust in You when life seems unbearable to them. This I asked in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
