DEVOTION ~I SHALL NOT DIE!

Theme: I Shall Not Die!
Text: Psalm 118:17

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.


Death is a part of man. The original plan for man, wasn't to die but disobedience brought about death in man's journey on this earth (Genesis 3). The sting of death hurts a lot. However, we as believers of Christ know very well that, for us to live is Christ and to die is gain. There's hope for us after this life but that does not mean our lives can be cut short.

We have a lot to offer here on earth as children of God. There are still many lost souls out there we need to reach with the Gospel of salvation. If we are faithful in the things of the Lord, He will preserve us. When the wicked rise up against us to destroy us, the Lord will not permit it. We will not die untimely deaths. We will live long to declare God's glory to the whole world.

The purpose of our existence on this earth is to declare the works of the Lord. We need to live for Christ in every decision we make in live. Our actions and words should preach the Good News to all. To declare God's works is to live an exemplary life that reveals God's Spirit at work in us. If we walk the talk, then God's works will be evidently seen and felt by a perishing world. You will not die but live to declare God's work.



Prayer: Abba! Father, I come before Your presence with thanksgiving. Receive Your glory and honour for the great works You're doing in my life, family, community, nation and the whole world. I pray the yoke of untimely death be broken. May the Holy Spirit take me through this life's journey to declare Your mercies and goodness to the whole world. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
