Theme: Broken for a Purpose
Text: Psalm 119:71

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.


As dear children of the Lord, we should not fear afflictions but see them as a tool to catapult us to higher heights in life. Let's learn from our Saviour; It is when He overcame the affliction of the cross and death, that He came out of the grave with a higher level and authority. 

The psalmist sees afflictions as a good thing. It is in our brokenness we get closer to God and acknowledged we can't move forward without His help. The lesson of humility and gratitude is well learnt when we are broken by the Lord. It draws us more deeper into the knowledge of God and it reveals His glory in our lives. Stop murmuring and bless the name of the Lord for that affliction will not kill you but build you better for a higher level. May the Holy Spirit strengthen you in all afflictions to remain steadfast in your relationship with God.



Prayer: O God, it may not feel good to me to be broken but it is good for me to be broken by You. For my spiritual strength is empowered through Your brokenness. I pray You forgive me for not submitting to Your brokenness. Help me Spirit divine to learn from every stage of brokenness that I may come out victorious like my Saviour. Let Your statutes spring up in me daily. In Jesus' name have I prayed. AMEN!

    I pray you Forgive me for not submitting to YOUR brokenness. Help me Spirit Divine to learn from every stage of brokenness that l may come out Victorious like my SAVIOR. Let your status spring in me daily. In Jesus Christ name l prayed. Amen

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
