Text: Acts 1:12-14

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. 13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.


Having been instructed by Jesus not to depart from Jerusalem to await the Holy Spirit, the apostles obeyed. To be empowered, you need to listen attentively and adhere to Instructions. They all have one mind, and tried to ensure it is accomplished. 

Dear beloved in the Lord, it is important to have an upper room in your life. This upper room is where you seek God's intervention in your life in solitude. You can also have an upper room for your family, colleagues at your workplace, ministry, and other areas of your life. Your battles must first be fought in your upper room before attempting to step out for battle.

The apostles did not just stayed idle rather, they continued in prayer and supplication with the women, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the brothers of Jesus. Prayer must be a part of every child of God. They have been praying even before the Saviour was taken up into heaven and continued to pray after that. The Holy Spirit you desire to fill you with His gift is a prayer away. Prayer is the weapon that opens divine doors. Let your will be one  with the Lord's, for the manifestation of your breakthroughs begins with oneness with the Lord.



Prayer: Nearer to Thee my God is what I desire. I pray for divine transformation from You that I may become more like Christ in words and in deeds. Give me a willing spirit to obey You even when it hurts. This I pray in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Apollos means "one who destroys or a destroyer". He was a New Testament figure who steadily grew to become a servant of Jesus through ministry. DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
