DEVOTION ~ GOD COMMANDS OUR VICTORIES

Theme: God Commands Our Victories
Text: Psalm 44:4-8

4 You are my King, O God; Command victories for Jacob. 5 Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. 6 For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. 7 But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. 8 In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever. Selah

Oh mine! Today marks the last day in 2020. How has your year been like? I guess there were ups and downs; You had to face little and great battles in life. But through all the struggles, there has been a friend like no other by your side. This friend is God. If not for God's mercies, you would have been consumed by the wickedness of evil people.

What the wicked intend to do against you turn out to be for your good through the power of God. If the Lord is with you, then your enemies cannot harm you. For God will command your victories. Possessions and fame cannot rescue you. Those that put their trust in them are hospitalized or even dead; their wealth could not save them. You have no excuse in giving God praise and thanksgiving.

The enterprise of the wicked against you has been frustrated by the Holy Spirit. Evil arrows, charms, and other evil destructive weapons targeted at you could not hold because, God sent forth His angels to deliver you. Dear beloved in the Lord, your hallelujah is in the name of the Lord and no other thing. Let your lips be opened to give praise to God. Honor the name of the Lord for all the benefits He has bestowed on.

Prayer: Gracious Father, thank You for the protection and preservation of my life and everyone connected to me. You are our Shield from every evil dart. May Your name be praised. Thank You for for the victories You have commanded in our lives in the past, currently and in the future. I pray victory shall locate every sphere of our lives as the year ends and usher us into the new year to be victorious in all we do. This and many more we ask for in Jesus' name. AMEN!
