DEVOTION ~ IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

Theme: In Spirit and Truth 
Text: John 4:23&24

23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.


Praise be to God for the ever presence of the Holy Spirit who abides in us as promised by Christ. By the presence of the Holy Spirit, we are led by Him to worship God in spirit and truth. The spiritual worship do away with any form of carnality. Our spirits are tune to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we pray, sing to God's glory, serve in the presence of God, amongst other things that honour God's Holy Name and Kingdom.

This is the kind of worship God requires of us. To have one accord with Him in all we do. By this worship in spirit and truth, it manifests in even our daily lives at home, community, workplace and the world at large. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. We cannot serve God fully in the flesh, we need to possess His nature to be spiritual and truthful to wholly meet God's requirements of His worship. May the enlightenment of His glory open our eyes of understanding to this divine truth. 


Prayer: Your nature O God is Spirit and Truth, and this You require of us as we worship You. We pray for spiritual awakening and consciousness to serve you in spirit and truth even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have we asked. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
