DEVOTION ~ SET IN ORDER

Them: Set in Order
Text: Titus 1:5&6

5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you— 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. 



A life lived without careful consideration often amounts to nothing. It is for this reason everyone ought to set his/her life in order. Titus was left in Crete to perform a significant task to ensure the church grows spiritually and in line with the purpose of its existence. Likewise everyone's existence has a God given purpose that must be identified and worked at. 

The task the Apostle Paul gave Titus is, to set in order the things that are lacking and as well appoint elders in the city. Dear beloved in the Lord, you need to identify your shortcomings in life. What is it that is lacking in your life, family, community, congregation, nation and wherever you find yourself? You need to seek the assistance of the Holy Spirit to guide you to work at it. Draw near matured spiritually minded people and seek their help as to what to do.

Your home speaks volume of what you are. A blameless life does not only depend on your lifestyle but by the way the people of your home also conduct themselves. Marriage as instituted by God for us is a man and a woman not any other manner. Work out your marriage and ensure your children are equally factored. Nurture them in the way of the Lord that they will be able to live responsibly. 


Prayer: Father in heaven, You have a purpose for my existence, help me to identify it and guide me to work at it zealously. I draw virtue from the Holy Spirit to set every area of my life in order. This I ask in Christ Jesus name. AMEN!

    Surely, it is His direction that could help us work at everything in our lives. May He leads us through this in Jesus name, Amen!!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
