DEVOTION ~ PRAISE THE LORD!

Theme: Praise the Lord! 
Text: Psalm 148:12-14

12 Both young men and maidens; Old men and children. 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. 14 And He has exalted the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints—of the children of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise the Lord!



The praise of our God must proceed from every mouth whether male or female, young or old. God deserves praise for the many wonderful things He has done in our lives. Just consider the cost of oxygen and how we have freely been blessed with the breath of life. Does God not deserve praise? He deserves it even more than what we are doing.

God has given us strength to carry on our duties (He has exalted the horn of His people). Have you considered where your strength came from to complete your project and what about the healing you received when you were at the verge of death? It is all the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. Let us lift His hallelujah to Him. Our praise ought to rise each day. Be grateful, give God praise.


Prayer: Abba! Father, hallowed be Thy name. You alone deserve the praise, honor and adoration for I have tasted of Your goodness in all areas of my life. What shall I render unto You O my God? I will praise Your Name and shout Your hallelujah all the days of my life in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
