DEVOTION ~ THE LABOUR OF HIS SOUL
Theme: The Labour of His Soul
Text: Isaiah 53:10&11
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
As we've been studying these few days, Christ's death is significant to us as believers. He has been offered as offering for our transgressions that we may attain everlasting life. It is solely in Jesus that we can enjoy the full benefit of the Lord for the pleasure of the Lord prospers in His hand. We are the labour of Christ's soul; He offered His soul for the redemption of our souls.
By the enabling grace of the Holy Spirit, we reflect the image of Christ on this earth. His death has not been in vain because we fulfill His command to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. As we accomplish the Great Commission, Christ sees the labor of His soul, and becomes satisfied. Dear beloved in the Lord, we are saved by the grace of God and not works least any should boast in himself. Grace justifies us to be righteous and seals us in the Lord.
Prayer: My Master and my Saviour, thank You for the sacrifices You have made on my behalf. I offer my life wholly to You, use me as it pleases You and perfect Your will in me now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!
