Text: 1 Corinthians 12:9

9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit


In yesterday's devotion, we saw how the Holy Spirit works in us with the gifts of word of knowledge and wisdom. Today, we will look at other two gifts; faith and healing. The believer can only through faith please God. If we hope in the Lord in all things and at all times, His Word will cause us to triumph. Faith comes by the hearing of the Word of God. When we hear the Word and believe, we are freed from anxiety, worries, fear and doubts to attain the favour of the Lord. By faith we can move mountains and defy the odds. 

Faith can stir the atmosphere for healing but healing in itself is also a spiritual gift. Healing is receiving well-being or recovery from sickness, illness and diseases. By the Supernatural power of God, the sick receive complete good health where the human expects could not bring about healing. Healing can also come about in diverse ways such us; being set loose from oppression, recovery of lost glory or honour, healing of our fields or land, healing of weak systems amongst others. Dear beloved in the Lord, we can have these two gifts and function well with them if avail ourselves to the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.


Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, breath on us faith and increase it more in us as we pilgrim on this barren land. Arise O God and empower us with healing to heal the church, our families and the land of every pandemic by the power of the Holy Spirit. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
