DEVOTION ~ GIFTS DIVINE

Theme: Gifts Divine 
Text: 1 Corinthians 12:29-31

 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.



As we learnt in yesterday's devotion, we've been divinely appointed to function well in the uplifting and advancement of the Gospel to the world especially where there's darkness. We've not been called to just do one thing but to perform diverse roles in harmony. We can't all have the same gift if not, the Kingdom work cannot be carried out effectively. God in His infinite wisdom knows that we need these gifts and so made them all available unto us. May we desire this gifts and when the Holy Spirit grants our request, let us use it to the benefit of all and to the glorification of our God.


Prayer: Raise us up O Lord for Your Kingdom. Breath upon the church the gifts of the Spirit that we may be well equipped for the Gospel. We pray unity to fill the heart of all that in harmony we may uplift Your Name in the heathen nations in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Apollos means "one who destroys or a destroyer". He was a New Testament figure who steadily grew to become a servant of Jesus through ministry. COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
