Theme: Times of Refreshing 

Text: Acts 3:19

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord


To be refreshed means to be given new strength or energy. We have been created to have a refreshing moment daily without fail. However, our sins have caused a hindrance to attaining this daily refreshing in the Lord. We are called to repent and come to penitence for our sins to be erased with the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. It is written, that if we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from every unrighteousness. The Lord has also said, though our sins be like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow and though they be red like crimson they shall be as white as wool. Dear beloved in the Lord, do you desire times of refreshing in your health, marriage, career, education, projects, and all spheres of your life? Then, it is an opportune time to repent and allow the Holy Spirit to transform you into a new creation in Christ Jesus so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord in your life. 


PRAYER: Almighty God, despite Your love towards me, I have not been true to You in my ways. Have mercy on me and erase the sins of my heart, thoughts, hands, lips, eyes, and any part of my body that I might have used to sin against You. Please cleanse me and mold me anew in Christ Jesus. I pray that times of refreshing from Your presence shall flow into my life in the Name of Jesus Christ have I asked. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
