DEVOTION ~ ARE YOU LUKEWARM?

Theme: Are You Lukewarm?
Text: Revelation 3:15&16

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

The church in Laodicea was lukewarm. It was neither cold nor hot. There are still some Christians in our dispensation who are neither cold nor hot. Lukewarmness is a picture of indifference and compromise. Many believers today have fallen to lukewarmness. On one part, we want to please God while on the other, we want to look good before men so we are not judged as churchy. With the latter, we tend to comprise just to please our audience forgetting we are not accountable to them but rather to God. We do not want to share the Gospel on our social handles lest we are given nicknames. Christ is cautioning us to stop playing the middle (neither cold nor hot). Take a stance today to either be cold towards the Gospel or be on fire for it. If not, you will be vomited out from the mouth of God.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for being lukewarm all this while. I pray You fan aflame the zeal to serve You diligently in me. Come Holy Spirit and teach me to please the Lord in all I do and say. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
