DEVOTION ~ THE APPLE OF GOD'S EYE

Theme: The Apple of God's Eye
Text: Psalms 17:8-9
8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, 9 From the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me.



We hold a special place in God's heart because He created us in His very image. The psalmist requested that the Lord keep him as the Apple of His eye. In Christ we are the apple of God's eyes. Just as birds keep their young under the shadow of their wings from predators, we must also seek refuge in our God from the wicked who oppress us. Dear beloved, some unfriendly friends surround us. It will take only the grace of God to spot such evil people. Therefore, let us draw closer to God and seek His Holy Spirit's assistance to disarm the plots of the wicked around us.


Let us Pray: Almighty God, keep me as the apple of Your eye and hide me under the shadow of Your wings from the wicked who oppress me as well as from the deadly enemies who surround me. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
