Theme: Surrendering to God
Text: Proverbs 3:5-8
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones
In trusting God, we let go of our will and cling to the promises of God. Even when it does not make sense, we keep trusting in Him. This gives us a serenity of mind and heart not to worry. For the Lord will direct every area of our lives to divine expected end.
We acknowledge the Lord in humility. James 4:7 makes it earlier to understand the verse 6 of today's text. In submitting to God, we are resisting all worldly pleasures and putting on the new man in Christ Jesus. In obedience, we are increased on all sides and this gives us a sound mind.
Self destruction comes from within. Anyone who has the intent he's wise beyond corrections, will soon run into multiples of trouble. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. This divine wisdom delivers us from every destruction either to our physical health or spiritual health.
Prayer: I submit to You Oh! God. I trust every area of my life in Your care. Teach me to know it is well for You are with me. AMEN!
