Text: Jeremiah 17:5-13
Text: Jeremiah 17:5-13
Memory verse: Jeremiah 17:7-8
7. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not [b]fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

As mortals, we all take our strength from the Lord. Relying on another human in every circumstance and departing from the will of God is deadly. Most often than not, the dictates of humanity usually does not have a complete assurance of a victorious end. Trusting others in every step you take can leave you empty like the shrubs in the desert that lacks moist to flourish. You are easily tossed by people's opinions (Psalm 1:4-6).
However, when you put our trust in the Lord, you are prosperous because, you take delight in abiding in the Word and will of God (Psaml 1:1-3).
To rely on God, you need to shape what you think in your mind, and what you conceive in your heart. For the Lord knows what's in our mind and heart. It isn't wrong to be rich, but how the worth is acquired matters. If it is acquired wrongfully, you will soon be exposed. Trust the Lord to deliver you from every storm of life and you'll not be put to shame.
Prayer: Most gracious Father, I trust every field of my life into Your care. Deliver me and do not put me to shame in Jesus` name. AMEN!
