Theme: The Lamp-stands of His Presence.
Text: Revelations 1:9-20

10. On the Lord's Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
11. which said: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea."

John received the revelation on the Island of Patmos. As believer, we need to avail ourselves for the Holy Spirit to have fellowship with us. This fellowship grants us grace to always approach the throne of grace with all confidence.

The instruction given was for John to write the vision to the seven churches. In our dispensation, the church is us (individuals of the faith). This instruction is coming unto us to assess ourselves and live a worthy life in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Beloved, there's the need to read Revelations in the light of our relationship with the Savior. If we read or understand it in a contest that excluded us, it will be difficult to live by the words given in it.
The appearance of the Son of Man is so awesome to behold. All His attributes and characteristics is evident in John's writing. When we come before the presence of God, we encounter His divinity, purity and majesty. As He encouraged John, let us not be afraid to come to the presence of God.

God hold the key to our lives. For though Christ died on the cross, He did not remain in the grave but resurrected that we may have life in Him if we believe. In His presence we stand as lampstands that holds the torch firmly at all time (Matthew 5:14-16). Let the Word mould you into a better lampstand.

Prayer: Savior of the world, thank You for Your grace each day. Help me to be a useful lampstand in Your presence. AMEN!
