Theme: Shield from Harm
Text:  2 Kings 11:1-3

When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs. 2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered; and they hid him and his nurse in the bedroom, from Athaliah, so that he was not killed. 3 So he was hidden with her in the house of the Lord for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.

Greed, power drunk and selfishness make people do whatever it takes to change the order or principles laid down. Such people are in the family, Church, society,  workplace, and the world over. The only thing that interest them is what will benefit them. Undoubtedly, Athaliah manifested this after the death of her son Ahaziah. She killed the heirs to the throne except Joash so as to rule the land.

The purpose of God concerning your life cannot be hindered. No matter how these evil people plot against you, God will deliver you. You need to keep the relationship between you and God healthy. God still have a lot of Jehosheba's to fight your case. She was used as a vessel to deliver the Son of Ahaziah from his grandmother. An aunty saving a nephew from his grandmother. There are many destiny hijackers around you. It doesn't matter their relationship with you. You need to be wise in dealing with people. Do not underrate anyone in life. They could be used to win your battles.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. And will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust (Psalm 91:1-2). Joash took refuge in the House of the Lord for six years. The Holy Spirit dwells in you and this makes you the temple of the Living God ,(1 Corinthians 3:16-17). If you keep fellowship with Him, no harm shall come near your tent.

Prayer:  In Your presence I'll abide always. Teach me to stay connected to You and shield me from evil even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
