Theme: Love Lifts the Barrier
Text: Psalm 15:1-5

15 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; 4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change 5 He who  does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

The total life of a believer, is in the command to love your neighbour as Christ has loved you (John 13:34-35). The Psalmists asked, who may abide in God's tabernacle and Holy hill? God is Holy and pure. We need to approach His tabernacle and Holy hill in holiness and purity. Have it not been Christ, this will have been difficult for the human race(Hebrews 9:11-15) as even our earthly high priests of old could not fully enter the Hollies of Holy for they ought to appease for their one sin and our fathers of old and they weren't perfect for conscience sake (Hebrews 9:1-10).

The characteristics outlined by the Psalmist, from the second verse to fifth verse, can only be done in love. This is why Christ said, His New command is to love as He has loved you and by this, people will know you're His disciple. Let's elaborate the lifestyle of the unconditional love in Christ Jesus:

walk uprightly, work righteousness and speak the truth in your heart; There's the need to build your integrity in life. Your standard for living should be biblically built. Being upright, leads to the manifestations of your righteous works and truth equally evident in your daily live.

Not backbiting, not doing evil, not taking up reproach against others; The seed of discord births division and it's the result of backbiting. Once you begin to gossip, lies and evil manifest in your relationship with others. You'll quickly pick up unnecessary fights, and love cannot flow from you but hatred. Flee from gossips, evil doers and live at peace with all people.

Despise vile persons, honour the faithful in the Lord and being faithful; In walking in the agape love, you don't condone with evil people but rebuke them whilst you give honour to those who diligently walk in the fear of the Lord. Encouraging others in the faith is important and should be a part of you. Faithfulness is also required of you. Be mindful what you promise and keep to your words wisely.

Not putting out money to usury and not corrupt; Charging abnormally on a loan, should not be your practice. Though you may give a loan, yet your rate of interest should be reasonably stated so as not overburdened the borrower. Desist from bribing and being bribed. Not not plot against innocent people because you've been settled by the guilty person. Let love lead you to do the right thing.

Your love towards others will make you secure. For if a man's way pleases the Lord, He causes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16:7).

Prayer:  Let Your love flow in me towards others that I will draw more souls to Your glorious Kingdom even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
