Theme: Christ the Word
Text:  John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Hallelujah! Dear beloved in the Lord, the Gospel of John begins with the acknowledgment of who Christ is. He is the Word spoken by God in the beginning in Genesis 1:3 "3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light."
The Word of God bought light into existence. And this Word was with God and is God because the Word proceeded out of God's mouth. In Him were we created and likewise all creatures and plants .

In Jesus is life, and this life is light unto men. Jesus stated in John 10:10b, that He has come that we may have life in abundance. There's no life without Jesus. He again stated in John 8:12, that: 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
We can only have the light of life if we follow Jesus. His light has shone in darkness and the darkness couldn't comprehend it. So will every trouble of your life give way when you allow Christ into your life. Be it sickness, joblessness, marital challenges, childlessness or any difficulty of life, bring it to Christ and you shall experience His life giving glory. There's no limitation in Jesus Christ. Just speak the Word in every sphere of your life to see His glory revealed in you.

Prayer:  Come into my life my Saviour Jesus. Let Your Light shine in me and give me total spiritual and physical healing in Jesus name. AMEN!

Apollos means "one who destroys or a destroyer". He was a New Testament figure who steadily grew to become a servant of Jesus through ministry. DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
