Theme: Trust in the Lord
Text: Jeremiah 17:5-8
5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
As humans, we are to set our mind on God than our fellow human beings. The Bible spelt it out clearly that, curse is any man who trust in man and make flesh his strength. Many have turn to trust their safety in the hands of their fellow human beings. Do you trust God to accomplish every purpose concerning your life? Man may die and be gone with whatever help he/she intend to give you. When you put your trust in God, you'll never be put to shame.
Your reliance in God makes you fertile and fruitful. You won't lack anything for God shall provide all your needs. Beloved, do not rely on your strength, riches, or possessions rather, surrender your life to Christ for better days ahead.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, teach me to trust in you even when the storm is raging. May Your Light shine in my path to walk uprightly in all things even now and forevermore in Your name have I asked. AMEN!
