Theme: The Penitent Spirit
Text: Psalm 32:1-5

1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long. 4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Beloved, Christ has paid for our sins. So we are at liberty to come before His Throne, for what reigns in us is the Spirit of Truth. However, most believers turn to shun the every presence where their source of life exist for unworthy things.

When you fall in sin have a penitent heart to return to the Lord. Sin is very enticing but its end result is death. There's no such thing as big or small sin. Sin is sin and it is only when you understand this, that you flee from it as a child of God. When you fail to confess your sins - secret sins, presumptuous sins , and willful sins (Psalm 19:12-13), you are only making room for darkness to fill you.

The sins of fear and doubt is gradually finding its way into the church. Do you fear the Lord can't help you in that awkward situation you've found yourself? Do you doubt the saving grace of our Lord? All these are sinful. This implies, your faith did not manifest as a believer in those moments of sorrows, rather, you were dependent on your strength and emotions ( Romans 14:23).

Confess your sins to the Lord and He will cleanse you from them all (1 John 1:9). The Lord's ears are open to hear you. Let out that sin holding you back. Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee (James 4:7).

Prayer: Abba Father, You're faithful but I've been unfaithful in all You've entrusted to me. Forgive me for not being faithful, for the fear You ain't going to show up when I need You most and for doubting Your Word concerning my life. Cleanse me in Christ's blood and fill me with Your Spirit that I may live worthy of Your glory even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
