Theme: The First to Cast the Stone
Text: John 8:7-11
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

The Battle of the believer is great and needs careful self assessment to ascertain your stand in the faith. Many have become quick at condemning and pronouncing harsh judgement on others. Dear beloved in the Lord, the passage for today is one for us to be mindful of our harsh pronouncement on others. The lady was seen red-handed  in the act of adultery and brought before the Messiah.
Our God is merciful and He expects same from us all. You are not hundred percent righteous. There are elements of guilt and sin in you so be careful how you escalate the sins of others as though you're perfect. If you're also practicing things not worth the Christian life, repent now. Let the final words of the Lord ring bell in you each time sin knocks at your door; "Go and sin no more".

Prayer: Let Your mercies overflow in me. That I may show mercy to all. Guide me in the path of righteousness that I may serve You perfectly in Jesus name. AMEN!
