Theme: The True Christian Life
Text: 1 Thessalonians 5 :16-22
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
A believer's joy should not be conditional, it is for that reason, the Apostle Paul states that we ought to rejoice always. Your joy does not come from the world but from the Lord. Remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength so rejoice always. Don't let the devil steal this grace from you cunningly. Your rejoicing should be accompanied with prayer. Prayer should be a part of you at all times as you can't go a day or a moment without talking with the Father of all creation. Whenever you come before God, be grateful. You can't learn to give thanks if the Father's love is not in your heart. Likewise greed and pride won't allow you to be thankful. In all circumstances, see the glory not the event. In sorrows, pain, and anguish see the glory of the Lord and you'll overcome every barrier or obstacle of life (Genesis 50:19-20).
The Spirit of the Lord rests in you. Be careful not to quench His divine manifestation in your life through ungodly relationships. Evil company corrupts good conduct. To keep on track, you need the Word of God. Study the Bible and pray so as to shape your life in the will of God. Never let go of what is good but do well to abstain from every form of evil.
Prayer: I pray for the grace to live a complete Christian life even now and forevermore in JESUS NAME. AMEN!
