Theme: Living as an Elect  of God 
Text: Colossians 3:12-17

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.


Having surrendered to God to live wholly for Him, you need to live worth of that divine declaration. The Apostle Paul admonished the Colossians church on how to live as elect of God. You are also an elect of God. It is therefore important to have the nature of God transparent in your secret and open life. God is love and so you must also possess the spirit of love. When love manifest in you, you abhor evil living and cling unto godly living. This godly living is evident in the following ways of living: tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering, bearing with others, forgiving others in the manner as Jesus instructed (John 13:34-35).

You also need to study the word so you become well equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. Christ told the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4:23-24 that; 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The Holy Spirit Himself will fill us with truth if we invite Him to take control over our lives.

As a believer, be mindful the kind of music you listen to and sing. Avoid worldly songs for they only brain wash your spiritual self into carnal living. However, spiritual songs edifies you and even shape your response to situations or happenings of life. Dear beloved in the Lord, you'll account for the life you are living on this earth someday so live a godly life in Christ Jesus.


Prayer: Make me a vessel worth of using in Your Kingdom o God. May I live pious in deed and in words even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
