Theme: Who is the Lord to You?
Text: Psalm 27:1

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

As believers, we all have diverse perspectives of who the Lord is in our lives. All these however do not differ from each other but rather we each uniquely identifies an attribute of God in His relationship with us. Dear beloved in the Lord, what can you say of the Lord in your life? Your response is a guide to your lasting relationship with Him. If it's difficult for you to identify who the Lord is in your life, then your relationship with Him is not very firm. You need to reexamine that fast.

The psalmist writes, the Lord is his light and salvation. Jesus is the light of the world and in Him only can salvation be attained (John 3:16). This is a profound statement of eternity hear after. For in the last day, there'll be no need for light for Christ Himself will be Light to all (Revelations 21:23 and 22:5). Isaiah 62:19-20 states; 19 “The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. 20 Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.

This text relates to life after death when your soul shall attain the salvation of the Lord. What then shall you fear if you're in the Lord's bosom? Indeed, you can confidently confirm the words in Isaiah 33:24; 24 And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity. You will not experience pains again and your sins have been wiped away by the blood of Jesus.

Your strength is drawn from the Lord through His salvation of your soul. In Him is life and the life is light unto men (John 1:4). You'll fear no evil if you rely on the power of God.

Prayer: My Light and salvation, empower me to be bold and spread this Good news to all even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
