Theme: Set to Preach the Good News
Text: 1 Corinthians 1:17
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
Our calling is to proclaim Christ whether ordained as a priest or not. If you are not ordain, it doesn't warrant an exempt in the preaching of the Good News. Proclaim it to a soul, win him/her over and hand him/her to the ordained priest for baptism. You have a role to play in the spread of the Gospel. The set time is now, reach out to a soul in darkness with the Light of God.
When you go out to proclaim the Gospel, do well not to exalt yourself. You are not the message, Christ is. Take off the self praise and proclaim Jesus as Lord. Let the essence of the cross always be made known in your spread of the Gospel. Salvation is solely in Jesus and no other. Beware of how you proclaim your as if the power you have is by your own strength. If you are also following false teachers who preach themselves and not Christ, dear beloved disassociate yourself from them. They can't give you eternal life or salvation. Their gymnastics will cease if the Lord takes His breath from them. Always recall the Messiah's warning; by their fruit you'll know them ( Matthew 7:15-20). God won't share His glory with anyone and so do not give it a try ( Isaiah 42:8).
Prayer: Unto You alone do I lift up my hands in praise for Your great works done. Teach my lips to proclaim You as Lord. More of You and less of me in my ministry even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
