Theme: Beware of the Wicked
Text: Proverbs 4:14-15
14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on.
Wicked people can be likened to sons of destruction. There are many wicked people out there who do not even acknowledge their ways are evil and wicked. You need to be aware of such people.
The sixteenth and seventeenth verses of this chapter gave instances of the wicked one: 16 For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall.
17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence (Proverbs 4:16-17).
The wicked doesn't find pleasure in good things for it is not their nature. Their desire is to hurt and afflict others with pain, sorrows and misery. Do you have any association with people of this kind? If you do, then you need to disassociate yourself from them. Do not engage yourself in any of their ways.
Dear beloved in the Lord, the psalmist once stated, the Lord knows the way of the righteous but the wicked shall perish (Psalm 1:6). Indeed, the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off ( Psalm 37:38).
Prayer: Abba Father, renew my mind in the things of righteousness and wash me from every wicked way in Jesus name. AMEN!
