Theme: The Gateway to Heaven
Text: Genesis 28:16-17

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and he said, “Without any doubt the Lord is in this place, and I did not realize it.” 17 So he was afraid and said, “How fearful and awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gateway to heaven.”

Heaven is the throne of the Lord and the earth is his footstool (Isaiah 66:1; Matthew 5:35; Acts 7:49). One can only get there through a gateway. There's no way to heaven except through Jesus Christ. In the days of Jacob, he encountered the Lord at Bethel. He acknowledged that is the gateway to heaven. However in our dispensation, Jesus Christ is the sole gateway to the Father (John 14:6).

Dear beloved in the Lord, heaven is close to you than it was to Jacob. You can't afford to miss it. Surrender to God and He will show Himself to you. Be bold to declare just as Jacob said, "How fearful and awesome is this place (yourself)! This is none other than the house of God (the Lord's temple) and this is the gateway to heaven" for you're the house of God (1 Corinthians 3:16). The Holy Spirit dwells in you. Don't allow anyone to despise this truth about you (1 Timothy 4:12). God has made His home (heaven) in your body as you unite with Him through Jesus Christ. Keep the gateway holy and pure.

Prayer: Dear God, make me experience heaven within me at all times. Grant me the joy of encountering You each day of my life through Christ Jesus. AMEN!
