Theme: Intercede to Save a Soul
Text: 1 Timothy 2:1-4

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Taking up leadership roles isn't easy. The challenge to lead well, sometimes cripples many not to take up leadership position. This should not be the case if we intercede on their behalf just as we pray for ourselves. The Apostle Paul admonished we pray for our leaders in the House of God, politics, organization, family, etc. This prayer redirect them to do what is right as the Father answers our prayers for them.

All authorities need to acknowledge God, for He has placed them where they are (Daniel 4:31-32). An assignment for you is to pray for all leaders whether you like them or not. Seek that it shall be well with them for this pleases the Lord. God isn't pleased with the death of a sinner. He wants all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. If God so desires this for all men, then you must also have that desire towards others as a child of God. Avoid antagonistic prayers towards leadership. If you desire and pray for others to fail in their leadership role, that is a sin. Confess to God and repent. May the Lord enlighten you to do His will.

Prayer: Make me an intercessor for my family, church, nation and the world. That I may intercede for all just as it pleases You o God in Jesus name. AMEN!
