Theme: Behind the Fears
Text: Mark 6:49-50
49 And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; 50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
The disciples have been with Jesus for sometime and knows His movement. This text is an excerpts of the passage on Jesus walking on the sea. The disciples on seeing a figure, assumed it was a ghost. Little did they know it was the Lord. Beloved in the Lord, what scares you is likely to bring out the best in you.
In all circumstances trust God to bring you to an expected end. If something creates doubts and fear, don't look at the thing but look to God. If the disciples had look unto Christ as their strength, they wouldn't have been so scared on the sea. Rise up and lay your burden before Christ.
Prayer: Dear God, help me to look up to You in all things and grant me the power to overcome every storm in my life in Jesus name. AMEN!
