Theme:Desiderium for God
Text: Luke 2:21
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.
Desiring to be close to the Lord is essential in the Christian walk of life. In this season of pandemic, we ought to identify the ugly and the good of it. The ugly is the dread of the virus whereas the good is, you can now have time to reflect on your usual habits. What habit traits can you be identified with? Do you have time for the Lord and for His presence?
In this upcoming lockdown, whether you're affected or not, kindly use the time wisely to build a relationship with the Lord. If you desire to know the Lord more, you will be filled through the Holy Spirit. Your desire should be stirred up through the study of the Bible and making time to watch and listen to inspiring messages centered on Christ Jesus.
As you do this, the Holy Spirit will enlightened you on your sins. You must not overlook or ignore the nudging of the Holy Spirit in respect to your sins. Rather cease the moment to mourn or weep over them. Indeed you ought to rend your hearts not your garments through confession and becoming penitent. If you do this well, Christ said you shall laugh. That's when your soul finds rest in the Lord either on this earth or hereafter in paradise. Beloved in the Lord, just as you responded promptly to this epidemic by buying liquid soaps and sanitizers, do well to also pick up your Bible and draw near to the Lord.
Prayer: I yearn for You o God, let this desire in me not be consumed by earthly passions. Help me to draw closer to You, for whoever You draw to Yourself, serves a purpose in Your Kingdom and this I ask you use me for in Jesus' name. AMEN!
