Theme: Adversaries are Losers 

Text: Matthew 27:62-66

62 On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, 63 saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’ 64 Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.”

65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

The loser always knows he/she has lost even before attacking. The priests and Pharisees knew they can't stop Christ's ministry, but they always want to do something to cool their own temperatures. Do you know the troubles your adversaries are going through because none of their evil plans against your life is materializing? Oh yes, you're hidden in Christ Jesus so evil can't overpower you.

These leaders did everything for Christ to be crucified. Yet, they couldn't sleep or even celebrate. Do you know why? They knew who really Christ is but the pride of their hearts is not allowing them to accept Him. After burial, they seek permission from Pilate to guard the tomb. Cunningly, they claim the disciples will come for the body. Dear beloved, if God has spoken a miracle concerning your life, no matter how your adversaries try to hold it back, God will prevail and give you the victory in Jesus name.

The truth is a deception for the leaders and Pharisees, and the resurrection they say will be worse than Christ saying He is the Son of God. What they feared, manifested just the way they said it. So will your greatness be announced by those who claim you'll amount to nothing. Those who rejected you will call on you now.

As they secured the tomb, they rather opened the door to greater testimonies. Yes, let them seal their plans and set guards but by the power of the Holy Spirit, you'll come out victorious. Your testimonies cannot be limited for every barrier, shall be lifted by the power of God. Beloved, the strategies of our adversaries only show the power of God at work in us, don't get scared by them.

Prayer: Jehovah the I AM, You are to me, my; Jehovah - Elohim (Lord), Adonai (Sovereignty), Jireh (my Provider), Rophe (Healer), Nissi (my Banner), N'kaddesh (You make me holy), Shamma (ever present), Tsidkenu (my Righteousness), Rohi (Shepherd), Shalom (my Peace) each day of my life. Raise a standard against every adversary of my destiny and hide me safe in Jesus even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!
