DEVOTION

Theme: Keep Your Hopes High!
Text: John 20:24-29

24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Welcome yourself into God's presence. All you need to carry along with you is faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). You just have to believe to possess. Just as Jesus said to Thomas, do not be unbelieving but believing, you also must keep believing in God.

Dear beloved in the Lord, in this moment of pandemic, do you still believe the promises of God concerning your life? Do you believe he can bring back to live everything that has been dead in your life? He is the resurrection and the life, if you believe in Him you'll have life even in dead circumstances (John 11:25-26). If you believe without seeing anything, you won't miss the blessings. Keep your hopes high and God will cause every field of your life to blossom.

Prayer: Dear God, I know I've walked even worse than Thomas. I hardly believe you can show up in my valley moments. Please forgive me and help me know, You're God of both the mountains and the valley (The God of the good times and the bad times). Increase my faith each day in Jesus name have I prayed. AMEN!

  1. Amen. I believed God will bring alive any dead thing in me. And it will come to pass by my Faith in Him.
