Theme: Will You Ever Ascend?
Text: Luke 24:50-53
50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.
Today is Ascension Day amongst Christians all over the world. Jesus after His resurrection, stayed with the disciples and those who believed in Him for forty days before ascending up to heaven. As He ascends He blessed His followers as they worship Him.
Christ's blessings on the Apostles can locate you if you surrender to Him. In our normal lives, parents usually bless their children before they die. But with us born in Christ Jesus, He blesses us each moment even when He's departing with assurance of returning.
When God's blessings come upon you, receive it in humility and in worship. Be a worshipper at all times. Worship awakens your inner peace which births your joy. In the struggle, worship the Lord, when it's rosy too, give Him His worship.
They dwell in the temple praising God, but you're are now a temple which means, praise must always come out from your gates (heart, mind and mouth). Make your temple (body) a ground of worship. As your worship goes on high, the brighter the Light of God shines in every area of your life giving you victory on all sides.
The physical victory will manifest in the spirit and when Christ shows up again, you'll be caught up with Him in glory. Dear beloved, reflect on this Ascension Day and ask yourself if you are well prepared for Christ's return. The Saviour of the world accomplished all His tasks on earth and was glorified by the Father to sit at His right hand side. Have you also done all that is expected of you? Are you still dodging your responsibilities? It's time to become responsible in life; diligently perform your physical and spiritual assignments to the glory of God.
Prayer: To You alone o God be praise, honour and adoration for Your blessings upon my life and all that is mine. Maranatha! Help me to make it to Your eternal glory in Jesus' name. AMEN!
Yes Lord help me to make it to your Eternal Glory by through ascension.
