DEVOTION ~ GOD WILL PROVIDE!
6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
Abraham the father of faith is tested by God to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac to Him. On the way, his beloved son asked a very good question concerning the lamb to be used for the sacrifice. The other items were available but the main thing (lamb) to make the sacrifice complete wasn't with them. Abraham gave a reply which later manifested (vrs 10-15) that, God will provide.
Many people have never been able to accomplish their dreams because they failed to reason in line with Abraham. If you ever want to accomplish your dreams, stop giving yourself multiple excuses why it can't happen. Do you desire to start a business yet you think you don't have enough capital to start with? The little you have can make you succeed just start and trust God to provide for the business. Are you desiring to further your education? If you have the right grades, just purchase the form and believe God to guide you to sail through to graduation. Every challenge or dream in life can materialize into success if you rely on God to take control over your life. Yours is to bring the wood and fire (give yourself wholeheartedly) and God will provide the lamb.
Faith is well exhibited in difficult moments than when the tides are good. When it seems impossible, just tell yourself, I'm the child of the possibility God. The son/daughter of the I AM THAT I AM. Don't always keep your eye on the trouble, rather keep it on God solely. If you give room for fears, doubts, anxiety and worry you'll end up messed up completely. However, if you're driven by faith, you are led my the Holy Spirit to act according to God's will which brings about the provision of the sacrificial lamb. Anytime you think of giving up, just remember the saying of Abraham to Isaac, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.”
Prayer: My Provider, I'm grateful for every provision from necessities, security, health, and even wants that You've satisfied me with. Forgive me for the moments I doubt You can provide for me. Help me to know, You will always provide according to Your mercies and so I must trust You to see me through all my needs. I pray for the spirit of calmness and increased faith in all things in Jesus' name. AMEN!
