DEVOTION ~ YOUR CHAINS WILL FALL

Theme: Your Chains Will Fall
Text: Psalm 102:19-20

19 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the Lord viewed the earth, 20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death.

God has been God even before creation and has continued to be God till date. He is a God that makes use of all His senses; sight, hearing, taste, touch and feel. He created us with such senses so we can be each other's keeper. The Lord is enthroned in heaven in His Holy sanctuary but His eyes move to and fro on those who are faithful to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). His eyes are on you too and He knows perfectly what you go through in life whether good or bad.

Whatever your troubles are in life, it is already known to God. His ears are attentive to hear your cry for help. The psalmist said, God's eyes are on the earth and His ears to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death. The prison is where life puts you in an uncomfortable position be it spiritually or physically. You can only understand the kind prison or bondage you're in if you allow the Holy Spirit to have His way in your life. There are chains around your wife/husband, children, family, business, investments, career, education, ministry, etc- that needs to be broken. The only one to release you out of this imprisonment is God.

That little mistake in your life can truncate your life not to reach the height you have to reach. Your adversaries are constantly looking for your loopholes to attack and when they can't find one, then they'll create one for themselves just as the governors did to Daniel so he can be cast into the lion's den. But glory be to God, Daniel was delivered by God for He had shut the mouth of the lions. However, his enemies were eaten up by the lions (Daniel 6). The safest security is in God, don't be deceived to fall on idols to give protection. Those idols can't help you, they'll fail you over and over again. If you want to see your chains fall like that of Peter or Paul and Silas, then let your groaning be directed to God for He is the chain breaker (Acts 12:5-11; 16:25-26). God holds the key to your life and will protect you from harm. Dear beloved in the Lord, God is the only one to tell you with surety that, "Thou art loose (Luke 13:12)!"

Prayer: Dear God, I'm grateful Your eyes are upon me and Your ears attentive to my call for help each day. Forgive me for not looking up to you and not calling on you for help in my fears and difficulty moments. I plea You clease me from my sins and help me to fix my eyes on you for help at all time. I pray in the name of my Saviour Jesus Christ that every chain on me, my family, ministry, business, friends, (add your request) be broken right now by the power of the Holy Spirit. AMEN!
